Ranking near the top of my “shit I didn’t know i wanted, but now need” list is an awesome Steampunk-style Lightsaber currently being auctioned off on eBay. The metal-constructed saber was constructed by a prop professional, so the quality is likely very high.

With a Buy It Now price of $124.99, the Steampunk Lightsaber is actually really reasonable. Finally, a weapon you can use with your Darth Vader gas mask. Hit the jump for more steamy photos.

LEGO Safe Won’t Protect from Sledge Hammer, Children Over Six

legocombinationsafe

It’s a brick world, baby. But some gadgets, believe it or not, are better left un-brick-ified. While this LEGO Safe looks killer, I sincerely doubt that it would do much good protecting your valuables. The most I would store in here is maybe a few other LEGO bricks, some spare change, perhaps you could throw your stash in as well.

Despite its fragility, this is one awesome piece of work. Check out the video after the jump to scope out the safes intricacies. Even cooler? You can make your own. Yes, kids. There is a step-by-step DIY tutorial.

Despite some not-so flattering reviews, Transformers mania is sweeping the country this week with the release of Michael Bay’s Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen. These highly-detailed needle craft Transformers totally embody the fanboy spirit of the Transformers films.

The artist has crafted Optimus Prime, Bumblebee, Starscream, Sentenial Prime, Shockwave, Ultra Magnus, Percepter, Blitzwing and Jazz so far, but who knows what else she’ll bust out with the release of the new movie. Are you thinking the same thing I’m thinking? Megan Fox needle-point… now.

Heh, you know, this mod is quite pleasant on the eyes despite the lo-tech method it took to make. I mean, you can really turn anything into an iPhone dock by taking an iPod cable, drilling or dremeling out a proper hole for it and running it through the plastic back out to your computer. That’s really all it takes. Sega Saturn dock, anyone?

Magic Unicorn Beanie Allows You To Fit In With Charlie and the Crew

While I’m not sure we can call this the coolest beanie we’ve ever seen (because let’s be honest, we’ve seen some really awesome beanies), it’s definitely the only one that would make you feel at home inside of a fantasy novel.

The homemade Magic Unicorn Beanie gives the wearer a new phallic member and a generous mane of purpleish pink fur. If you happen to go searching for Candy Mountain, I don’t think you’ll get even a second glance as long as you’re wearing this thing. More single-horned love after the jump.

Those jackasses over at Boing Boing Gadgets have done it again. Posted a rad picture with no description. Look, is this really a camera with a damn garden growing out of the lens? It seems entirely plausible. Then again, it could be Joel photoshopping his pubes into sprouts.

ibanksy1

Have you ever dreamed that you too could be a mysterious super-awesome political street artist like Banksy? Here is your chance, no matter how lame it might be. The iBanksyMachine is basically a vending machine which doles out instant Banksy stenciling kits.

Included in the kits are stencils of some of Banksy’s most popular street pieces, along with spray paint and instructions on how to rip the guy off. They say imitation is the most sincere form of flattery, but this is ridiculous. There are an assortment of iBanksyMachines strewn across London. Let us know if you encounter one. And please, feel free to smash the fucking thing if you do. More Banksy-fakery after the jump.

LED Bottle Wall

Alex Beim must be a heavy drinker, ’cause I have no idea how he got so many empty bottles for his project. The LED Bottle Wall is a sight that seems appropriate for a Disney World attraction. Slews of LED lights penetrate the reflective surface of the bottles, creating an luminary effect that’s unmatched by Pink Floyd.
