Using this chair to its full potential means painting a room completely white and stripping out any other furniture. Do I look like someone who isn’t lazy?

The Fade-Out Chair is painted to appear as if it is floating in midair. The white leg bottoms appear in striking contrast to the chair’s dark wood finish.

Is all of that worth the floaty-ness of the illusionary Fade-Out Chair? I don’t know, I’m not a scientist. But the chair definitely looks pretty sick under the right conditions. Those conditions just cater more to the wealthier, non-lazy among us.

I’m not typically the paranoid type, but using an umbrella that encourages tracking is not usually my bag, baby.

But at least you’ll never truly lose your place again. The You Are Here Umbrella gives Google Earth a nice target to help you locate your global position. A crazy Simpsons fanatic has created this amazing full-scale clone of the Simpsons’ home. Located in Henderson, Nevada, the Simpsons house is painted to resemble the bright colored, cartoony animation used in the show.

Just as I always wondered what my favorite mustachioed people of history looked like without their trademark facial hair, I’ve equally wondered what some of my favorite film and game characters would look like with added beards. It’s a thought that has plagued my dreams for years, but having no talent for art myself, and having no magical beard growing powers, there was nothing I could do. Thankfully, someone with a little talent had the same thought.

I’m not sure how one would develop photos after the world was destroyed, but apparently someone figured it out.

Steve McGhee created these photo-realistic Photoshop creations, depicting the possible realities of the dreaded 2012 apocalypse. You know, the one that homeless dude on the corner is always ranting and raving about. I love how that first photo features people gingerly walking the streets like nothing is happening.
