Win Sandisk SD Cards On YouTube

If you love gadgets, there’s no doubt that you love memory cards just as much. After all, your digital camera, laptop, MP3 player and hundreds of other gizmos use them. Now what if I said you could win some free SD cards just by shooting a video for YouTube? Thus is the point of SanDisk’s Point and Shoot Film Festival. Shoot a quick continuous video for YouTube, upload it and you could win $10,000 and a trip to Las Vegas. 200 others will win memory cards. Can you dig? I thought so.

Lorne Michaels Wants To Bring SNL Online

Seems NBC and SNL creator Lorne Michaels want to start a streaming video site that will feature only SNL content. Schmitt’s Gay, The Rapists for 500 and Tina Fey as Sarah Palin, all in one place. No wonder it’s so chilly. Hell froze over!

TunesRemote: An Android Remote For DACP Devices

While I can’t delve into a lot of the specifics of the G1 and how well it works, etc., I gotta say that Jeff Sharkey’s TunesRemote is probably the best app out there for an Android-enabled phone. After winning $275,000 in the Android Developer Challenge, Jeff went and reverse engineered the iPhone app that lets you control iTunes. Now he’s gone and released an Android version that I probably shouldn’t comment any more on. After the jump there’s a video that speaks a lot louder than I can.

T-Mobile G1 Sells Out Completely

It’s no secret that we’ve been paying quite a bit of attention to the T-Mobile G1 as of late. We’ve watched as the anticipation has built around the phone and while we expected it to have a strong showing against the iPhone, we never dreamed the G1 would get this big. T-Mobile is reporting that it’s sold out completely of the 1.5 million pre-order units that were available. Not too shabby considering it was only sold online and in areas where 3G service is available. I guess this truly shows there’s strong support for an Android-based phone.

Temperature Sweater

Call it a radical departure from the usual material on our site but I like the concept of the Temperature Sweater. With an embedded LCD on the sleeve, you’ll know when it’s getting cold enough to wear a sweater. One sleeve displays the temperature in degrees Fahrenheit whilst the other displays Celsius like a true working thermometer. Concept? Sure, but you could easily make one with an hour and an Arduino.

Halloween LEGO Minifigs

I don’t know a ton of information about this set of LEGO figures I found on Brickshelf. Use Morgan19 seems to have created a whole set of Halloween-themed minifigs that really go to the next level. I’m partial to the chainsaw-wielding LEGO dude below but don’t miss some other good ones like Icebreaker, The Ghoul Groom and Zombie Rifleman. I’m guessing these were all modified and painted by Morgan19, ’cause last time I checked, they don’t make Zombie Nazi LEGOs with swastikas on their belts.

Hit the jump to check out a few other cool minifigs and view the set.

Attention owners of the Nintendo 64!

You can score the best hockey game the system has to offer for a staggering 13 cents on Amazon.com. Yes. 13 cents. Don’t trust the guy selling Wayne Gretzky’s 3D Hockey ‘98 for that low? Then buy a copy from the other guy for 75 cents. Sure, there’s no box or manual included, but has that ever stopped you from gaming before? Didn’t think so.
