Barack Obama clothing is everywhere these days. In order to give your even more Obama wardrobe options, UNDFTD teamed up with Geoff McFetridge to make this shirt featuring likenesses of the Democratic Presidential candidate.
UNDFTD’s Obama shirt is part of a voter registration drive. They’re releasing the shirt at an event in Las Vegas on October 4th. It’s a pretty cool shirt, but I can’t help but think that it looks a bit like a ripoff of Pharrell’s last album cover.
While enjoying my European adventure I saw the renowned Jedi Master Yoda in Madrid’s historic Plaza Mayor. Apparently, Yoda’s fallen on hard times since filming the Star Wars movies and now he’s resorted to begging for money from tourists in Spain.
It was cool seeing my favorite sci-fi hero in the flesh, but I’d rather have a chance to get up close and personal with a hottie like Princess Leia or Queen Amidala. I hear Natalie Portman’s single again, so maybe I can make that happen. I’ll have my people get in touch with her people. As Yoda himself once said “there is no try there is only do.”
Lisbon is an old city where medieval castles, fortresses, and ancient Roman aqueducts can be found right in the heart of downtown. Incredible grafitti is also prominent in Lisbon, especially alongside the city’s many rail lines. Etnies is releasing two pairs of their Jameson skate shoes celebrating Cartoon Network’s stoner-friendly Adult Swim lineup. There’s a bright green model featuring the Mooninites from Aqua Teen Hunger Force and a more subdued brown pair etched with pictures of various Adult Swim characters.
These Adult Swim Etnies were designed by the Cartoon Network creative team led by Jacob Escobedo. The green pair will be released sometime in October and the brown ones are coming out in November.
Farol Design Hotel is a chic resort in the tiny beach town of Cascais on Portugal’s beautiful Estoril Coast. Farol is perched on a cliff right by the water’s edge making for spectacular views from every part of the hotel. Inside, the hotel is equally stunning. All of the rooms in the hotel are decorated by famous Portugese fashion designers. This year, the Farol got completely redone with a classy black-and-white makeover that accentuates it’s hip appeal.
Unlike so many other design hotels, the Farol isn’t just about trendy modern style. Half of the hotel located in a 118-year-old mansion that was once owned by the Count of Cabral, but the other part of the building is a sleek annex that was added on six years ago. This blend of contemporary cool and old-school elegance makes the Farol truly unique. Read more to see pictures of this extraordinary hotel.
When we last heard about Jimmy Lemke the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee senior was in deep trouble for trying to plan a block party on Facebook. More than 5,000 people signed up to attend Jimmy’s big bash last weekend and the huge guest list caused local cops and university officials to crack down on the party. Jimmy was told to cancel the fiesta and warned that he would face serious consequences if anyone showed up ready to rock out. I checked in with Jimmy to see if he survived his social networking ordeal.
I got in touch with Jimmy through, what else, a message on Facebook to see how things went last. Jimmy told me that there were “no problems” and that “everything worked out well.” It looks like Jimmy learned from his bad Facebook experience, because he didn’t respond when I sent him a second message asking for more info about what went down. Perhaps Jimmy Lemke’s wisely decided to stay away from Facebook for awhile.
What up everybody. This cool Lego creation is a model of Amsterdam’s Schiphol Airport that I spotted when I landed in Europe yesterday morning. Thanks to the folks at Eurail and various tourism ministries, I’m here on a ten day trip through Portugal, Spain, and Amsterdam.
While I’m traveling, in addition to all the regular Gearfuse goodness, expect weekend updates on the hottest street art, design, and high tech goodies from across the pond. It’s going to be awesome.
Japanese company Thanko just came out with a new set of headphones that clip to the bottom of wearers’ earlobes like earrings. Thanko’s headphones seem to be the exact opposite of noise cancelling and, frankly, they look pretty darn stupid. If they were wireless, these things really would lbe like earrings, but as is, they just look like standard headphones that fit funny.
I guess Thanko is hoping that women have been looking for a new style of headphones. I can’t imagine that there are girls who think this would look good or that there are people who want to sacrifice sound quality to look like a total d-bag. On the other hand, Thanko did make a pair of these that are decorated with a cute cartoon panda. People love cute animals, so maybe these stupid headphones will manage to be a hit.
Looking at pictures of hot naked women is one of my favorite things to do with the internet. That’s why I’m so excited to finally see the technology for online porn evolving to include 3D pictures.
Nude3D is a site I stumbled across (while doing important serious research of course) that has three-dimensional pictures of sexy nude models. It’s totally free and they also give you directions for uploading your own homemade 3D porn pics.
According to Nudes3D’s guide, three-dimensional internet porn can be made using two digital cameras and StereoPhoto Maker. Apparently, other sites also host 3D internet porn. I can’t believe I didn’t find out about this amazing innovation sooner. To think of all the time I could have been spending staring at 3D hotties instead of doing other stuff. It’s a shame.

There are lots of dope new cases coming out for the iPhone, but lately it seems like designers have been forgetting to make similarly nice stuff for the good ol’ iPod. Luckily, high end Japanese luggage-maker Head Porter has come out with a cool iPod case as part of their Enamel collection.
Head Porter’s new iPod case is made with bright, solid-colored patent leather. It’s shiny design should appeal to fashionistas with an audiophile side who want to spice up every facet of their wardrobe. These cases are available now at cotwo in Hong Kong, but they should be on sale online soon.
