Best Buy Leaks Black Friday Ad; Will Pass Out Tickets to Avoid Consumer Stampede

bestbuy

Best Buy’s Black Friday ad has leaked, which means it’s time to do some serious itinerary planning for the big day. See, I like me and my fiancee set up a full contingency plan based on what we want the most for us, then comes gifts for others. Come on, we need to set priorities people! Strategy is the name of the game on Black Friday.

So Best Buy has some moderately cool deals, especially in the video game department, but nothing mind-blowing. Though what might be notable is that Best Buy is not going to allow for anyone to get hurt this year because of their doorbuster deals. Apparently they don’t take “death by stampede” lightly. All doorbuster sales will be handled via tickets, which will be passed out up to two hours before the 5 am door openings. Hit the jump for a full-list of Black Friday Best Buy deals. Doorbusters are followed by an asterisk.

The Newest Wii Controller: A Horses Ass and Your Arm

horse_controller

Nintendo has figured out their missing demographic! It’s the essential farmer sector! Finally, they’ve realized the Wii’s true calling with this new animal husbandry Wii controller.

If anyone can tell me what exactly is going on here I’ll give you the biggest digital hug ever. Are they watching some sort of instructional video? Who knew they even made horse torsos specifically designed to be penetrated. Guess you’ve gotta learn somehow and a real animal doesn’t cut it until you’ve learned to finesse your fist past the horse’s colon.

AnatoWii: The Anatomy of a Console

anatowii-1

Designer Angela Moramarco created this AnatoWii project, demonstrating what the anatomy of the Wii console might look like if it had internal organs, rather than hardware.

Consoles, in their own way, can become living, breathing members of our everyday life. Why shouldn’t they have their own anatomical charts? If we had to guess what organ composed the Wii, we would have guessed it was 100% colon. Totally full of shit.

How to Hook Up the NES

This amusing animated video by shamoozal takes a comical eye to the process of hooking up the classic NES gaming console. Nintendo might have started a gaming revolution with the NES, but thank the gaming lord that the hook up process has changed some.

Follow the rules in this video and you might just live to play a game or two.

Turning Japanese: Mario Gets the Jap Art Treatment

mario-bowswer-japanese-art

Just like The Vapors classic 1980 single “Turning Japanese,” I’m fairly confidant that Mario is, in fact, turning Japanese. I really think so.

Created for Uberbook’s Designers Game Remix by Flickr user Xiaobaosg, this Japanese art-themed piece draws inspiration from Super Mario Bros and the Capcom game Monster Hunters. Featured in the print are Mario himself, Bowser and a much scarier looking Yoshi.

Just When You Thought USB Drives Were Safe…

swanusbdrive1

We were just starting to believe that USB drive designers were finally starting to lay off the gaudiness. And then we see something like this. I swear, if it wasn’t my habit to wear sunglasses indoors at all times, I would have been blinded by this thing.

If you happen to be into layers and layers of crystals or wearing ridiculous gadgets around your neck, this USB Swan necklace thing (I hesitate to even call it a gadget, as to not taint the word) can be yours for $27.

The Wii Bowling Ball Acessory

Is this really necessary? Come on now. At this point the list of available Nintendo Wii accessories is getting out of control. What’s next? An egg whisk add-on that I can use to play those ridiculous cooking games? No thanks.

pimptendo

Calling all gaming pimps! Have you been hesitant to purchase the NES console just because its retro design doesn’t fit in with your modern pimp decor? Fahgetaboutit. This custom designed PIMPtendo (actually called PIMPendo, but the extra “T” makes it sound so much better) can be be yours for $150, or as low as $50 if you want to bid on the item.

Super Nintendo Disguised As A PC

snes-pc-1jpg

I’m the console disguised as another console disguised as a PC.

Actually, this is just a badass case mod. Some dude shoved his entire Acer Aspire One A150 and a CD-ROM drive shoved into a SNES shell. The cartridge acts as a loader for discs, which is pretty inventive. What I want to know is if the creator destroyed a working SNES to make this mod. That’d be a waste of a perfectly good system.
