Photos of Twitter’s New Headquarters

twitter-hq

Check out Twitter’s new digs in the SoMa district of San Francisco. Not too shabby. Mostly designed by co-founder Ev Williams and his wife Sara, Twitter’s new headquarters is focused on minimalism, modernism and an odd fascination with deer.

These photos and many more were lovingly uploaded at the official Twitter photostream on Flickr. Head over there to see the complete set.

Old Bumper Cars Modded Into Street Legal Vehicles

bumper-car

Everybody loves riding the bumper cars. It’s even more fun when you’re with your friends and you get to bash the hell out of them. Not that I would know anything about friends. Do you think I seriously have any time for anyone else but you, sweet sweet reader? *sniff*

But enough sympathy for the lonely, pathetic blogger. Check out these old bumper cars which have been turned into street legal vehicles. I wouldn’t recommend trying to cause fender benders in this bad boy. A crash in this car will be considerably more expensive than a festival ticket or two.

Tetris Wedding Cake Doesn’t Have Enough Tiers

new-tetris-game-cake

When I think wedding cakes I think five foot tall tiered monsters, not one leveled gaming cakes. Don’t get me wrong, I think this cake would be absolutely AWESOME for a birthday or anniversary or even just a gaming get-together, but I think something as sacred as a geeky wedding calls for a little more than a single level Tetris cake.

They also don’t take into consideration the basic premise of the game. If these piece were all in place, the lines would have already vanished into your score. Come on people, think!

The Periodic Table is so hot these days. Why not integrate it into your home decor? Other than the ideas innate geekiness, it seems like a cool little concept. But then again, geekiness is what we’re all about.

This awesome Periodic Table of Elements Quilt will make your serotonin levels soar as you cuddle up in its cuddliness-inducing folds.

Realistic Crayola 64 Box Cake Brings the Noms

crayola-crayons-cake

This cake might match its own sweetness with its utter flamboyancy. It’s hard to be taken seriously when you’re decked out in a rainbow pattern, unless you happen to be a Crayola 64 Box, which this cake is expertly modeled after.

Duff Goldman created this amazing cake in honor of 50 years of the Crayola 64 box. I’m just hoping I didn’t miss out. I live minutes from the Crayola Factory. If this cake was there, and I missed it, I’m going to be one pissed off fan of baked goods.

LEGO Transformers Characters

lego-transformers-characters-optimus-prime

I’ve always wanted to own my own set of Transformers, but who has the room to fit an entire set of massive robots in their home, let alone a tiny apartment like mine.

But hey, I can have something even cooler. My Transformers transform into individual LEGO bricks. All you have to do is bash them around a little and POW, transforming magic. And all in a limited amount of space.

NES Games Gone Bad

nes-gone-bad1

Things have really changed since the days of NES game releases. Ok, maybe things haven’t changed that much.

These wheatpaste game covers are the result of AltrdBst’s handy work. Taking us back to the good ole’ days when racism was acceptable and assassination was expected.
