New Adidas Give You Literal Wings

These are the first pair of shoes that make me want to shout “I AM A GOLDEN GOD!” from the rooftops. And for a guy who’s worn shoes made out of acid sheets, that’s saying quite a lot. Adidas’s new leather Wings 2.0 shoes by Jeremy Scott are designed to not merely empower, but to look awesome. White man can’t jump, but can he fly? These new kicks will drop on the Adidas Originals website on August 10. Link [via]

Microsoft Pulls KIN Phones Off the Market. Why? Only 500 of Them Were Sold

This is a true disaster for Microsoft. They wanted so bad to be a serious contender in the smartphone market. Their newest attempt, the KIN, which has only been in stores since May 13th, is now being pulled from the shelves. But why? Some sources are reporting that as few as 500 KINs were sold in their entire tenure on the market. That’s including both KIN 1 and KIN 2. We figured they wouldn’t sell quite like hot-cakes, but it... One Field, 600,000 CDs

Bruce Munro and 140 of his closest friends placed a total of 600,000 CDs over the span of Wiltshire field in the UK over the course of a weekend. The CDSea project started when Munro asked the public to donate their used CDs. After amassing a collection of 600,000, Munro did what any sane person would do after accumulating so many discs. He laid them in a vast field in pretty designs. Hit the jump for more pics.

A Visual Guide to the Lightsabers of the Star Wars Universe

Comparing the size, design and describing the ultimate fate of each lightsaber, this image is the easiest and most straightforward guide to the lightsabers of the Star Wars universe that we’ve ever seen. Well, a more accurate description would be the Star Wars films, because lord knows there were a bunch more lightsabers featured in the various novelizations and comics. I think my favorite is a pretty close tie between Obi Wan’s original saber he lost in The Phantom Menace... Continue reading

Hulu Announces Sucky Ass Hulu Plus Premium Subscription Service, iPhone and iPad Apps

A premium Hulu service has been in the rumor mill for well over a year now, so it doesn’t come as much surprise that Hulu Plus was just announced. For $9.99 a month (let’s call it $10, just to make it sound more ominous) you get ad-supported HD streams of the full current season of your favorite show and back seasons of select shows. Plus, you can watch the shows on your iPhone or iPad. So, let me get this... Continue reading

Google Me Website Registered By Google

So, I decided to do some research on the rumored Facebook competitor that Google is planning to launch at some point in the future, according to a tweet by Digg CEO and rumor leaking machine Kevin Rose. This rumor might be more than conjecture. I ran a Whois search for the domain GoogleMe.com and it’s registered under the same Registrar that Google uses, which is MarkMonitor. The DNS details also lead to Google servers. Whether this proves anything conclusive is... Continue reading

Have you been looking for that perfect extinct animal to serve during your Fourth of July festivities? How about a deliciously tender Velociraptor leg? Perhaps a Sabertooth Filet? Hello Kitty Mini Pizza

I don’t care if these are just another of Hello Kitty’s attempts at mind control. Mini Pizza is going to win me over everytime. No matter how disgustingly cute. Om meow meow. Flickr user LoveBones created these tastily diabolic mini pizzas of cuteness. Ahhh, so torn. Link [via]

Entire Original Star Wars Trilogy GIF’ed

OMG OMG OMG OMG! OK, sorry, I can control myself. We’re all adults here. And if not, WHERE are your parents? Don’t you know this site has very naughty language? Anyway, someone went through the trouble of creating animated GIF images of all three of the original Star Wars films. I’m forever in their debt. Hit the jump to see trilogy in their GIF entirety.

Pizzacone is the Greatest Thing Ever: Well, At Least Since the Invention of Hyperbole

NYC, meet your newest sensation. Located in Midtown, at 325 5th Avenue, right around the corner from the Empire State Building, is the K! Pizzacone shop, also known as the merchant of evil deliciousness. Some traditional New Yorkers might consider such a desecration sacrilege. Me, on the other hand? Well, I’m not a New Yorker, but I still think this is one of the greatest creations ever. Pizzacones are said to “taste more like a calzone and have less sauce... Continue reading
