What To Do With A Broken Mouse? DIY Toothbrush Holder
Have a few dead computer mouses laying around? They’re probably sitting in the same spot you keep the skeletons in your closet. You might be having some trouble parting with them. And that’s fine, totally normal. People become attached to inanimate objects all the time. So, if you want to actually do something USEFUL with those dead mice, you might as well sit down at your work bench for a few minutes, wipe down the foot of dust on its... Continue reading

High Heeled Feet: Probably Possible Through Implants
I pretty much shat myself when I saw these High Heeled Feet, which I’m guessing is a photo manipulation of some sort by designer Julie Rap. If one were so inclined to have fricken’ stilettos implanted into their heels, it probably could be done, no matter how freakishly painful it would be. I’d call them “Heel Heels.” All I can say is “HOLY SHIT, OMFG !@$#%#$” Ahh, better. Link
Credit Card Rainbow Collage: Debt is Beautiful
Credit cards don’t mean much these days. For awhile they were so easy to get and use, despite your financial situation, that they have become a second currency, albeit a worthless one. Made using thousands of credit cards, freecards, discount carts and gift cards, the Credit Card Rainbow displays the varied colors of debt, in all of its majesty. Commissioned by Graphic Design Museum in Breda, the Netherlands, the rainbow will be on display until September 2009. So, this is... Continue reading
McDonald’s to Offer ChargePoint Electric Car Charging at Restaurants
In another effort to win back customer trust, McDonald’s, which still remains tainted by science revelations, the much publicized “Super Size Me” documentary and their murder of Billy Mays via a full-on attack of the cardio-region, is planning to unveil ChargePoint electric car chargers, at least at one location so far. I’m not sure of of what the correlation is between electrical car owners and their frequency fast food eating, but I imagine that ratio would have to be pretty... Continue reading
Wikipedia Mobile: Wikipedia Launches Mobile Optimized Site
It might have taken them nearly a decade to do so, but the most popular knowledge hub on the net, Wikipedia, has finally launched their official mobile optimized site. The newly launched mobile adaptation is supposed to be optimized for all “fully-featured” smartphones, including the Palm Pre, iPhone, Kindle and Android platforms. So far both English and German are supported, but there are more to come. I’ve heard that visiting Wikipedia on the Palm Pre automatically redirects you to the... Continue reading
DrinkTracker iPhone App Keeps Track of Your BAC
Well, this would have been nice to have known about this past Fourth of July weekend, wouldn’t it have been? The DrinkTracker iPhone application allows you to set a goal BAC while calculating an estimated current level based on what you’ve had to drink. The DrinkTracker automatically compares your drink intake to your metabolic removal rate, calculating your BAC every 60 seconds. If it’s not 100% accurate, it at least provides a pretty smart estimate about where you stand if... Continue reading
Sand Castle Stool: Or How To Build A Life-Sized Sand Castle
Based on the design of a sand castle-building sand bucket, the Sand Castle Stool is a lightweight seating alternative, perfect for both pretending you are a very tiny person lounging on the beach and/or building a really, really large sand castle. Measuring 290 x 400 mm, this stool, if necessary, could produce some major sand bricks. The designers are currently seeking out manufacturers for this polypropylene stool, which will be available in magenta, cyan and lemon flavors. Link
Two Shoes, Four Feet: Shoes Designed For the Father / Daugher Dance
It’s a common sight at weddings and large family gatherings. The men of the family often dance with one of the younger girls of the family, often times, their own daughter or granddaughter. The girl, being so short, must stand on the man’s feet to keep up with the dance. These Dance Shoes were designed for the classic father / daughter dance team. The Dance Shoes do all the hard work of balancing and take the strain off the child.... Continue reading
WiFi Detecting Basball Cap
You don’t have to be one of those douche bags who walks around with a Yankees cap just because it’s trendy. You know most of those people have probably watched one or two games all-season and claim to be die-hard fans. Fuck off people. It’s time to come to the realization that as geeks, no matter how sexily geeky we are, we’re not trendy. And we shouldn’t be trendy. In fact, we should be anti-trendy, but not to the point...
