Ugh, this is making me sick. I just ate lunch. Link

“Just One More Level…” T-Shirt is a Symbol of Gamer Persistence

All of you gamers are likely all too familiar with this situation. It’s 3 a.m., you’ve got class in the morning, but the gaming bug has bitten you on the ass and will not let go. So what do you do? Just repeat to yourself “Just one more level… one more level…” Yeah, keep telling yourself that. A gaming hangover is still a hangover. If you’ve made this promise to yourself more times than you can count, this shirt could... Continue reading

Horizontal Game Boy Clone

Back in the day there were two handheld consoles which ruled all. Game Boy was the vertical colorless classic and Sega Game Gear was the horizontal version of Genesis in your pocket. While the retro-tastic Horizontal Game Boy clone doesn’t include the color graphics and lithe designs of more modern adaptations, it does provide an alternative perspective of what gaming would have been like, had Nintendo opted for a horizontal form factor. Man, I wish I had held on to... Continue reading

Extreme Papercraft: Frabjous

Created by Professor George W. Hart of SUNY Stony Brook, this is a papercraft work of art/puzzle that’s guaranteed to blow your mind. It’s called Frabjous and it’s made of 30 pieces of cardboard interwoven together. George was nice enough to make a PDF file for the rest of us who want to make one and solve it. Putting it together will be a challenge and one only the most bored of people will undertake. Link

Programmable RGB LED Strip

What’s a programmer to do. Buy a hard-to-find LED strip? Most likely. He’ll then probably spend weeks hacking it so he can interface it with an Arduino. After meeting with a friend, our hero and his companion work together to release a library for said LED strip. The day ends and they both breathe a sigh... Continue reading

LED Bottle Wall

Alex Beim must be a heavy drinker, ’cause I have no idea how he got so many empty bottles for his project. The LED Bottle Wall is a sight that seems appropriate for a Disney World attraction. Slews of LED lights penetrate the reflective surface of the bottles, creating an luminary effect that’s unmatched by Pink Floyd. Link
