New Drobo Pro Gets 8 Slots
I’ve been a fan of the Drobo since the original debuted a few years ago. For those of you unfamiliar with it, it’s an external hard drive enclosure that hooks up to your PC or Mac via USB. You plug hot-swappable drives in and take them out without any sort of repercussions thanks to Drobo’s intelligent software. Before, Drobo held four drives. Today, it holds 8, allowing for a theoretical 64TB of storage. No one has that kind of money... Continue reading

It’s 10pm. Do you know where your children are? Chances are they’ve caught on to a strange new trend developed by David Edwards. At $4 a pop, this is an expensive habit for your young ones. Let’s see what parents around Long Island, NY think about it: “Oh my gawd! I’ve... Continue reading
PUMA: GM and Segway Team Up
Take a near-bankrupt automobile manufacturer and a company that makes personal transportation vehicles used mostly by colleges and you’d think you’d have a disaster on your hands, correct? Apparently, such is not the opinion of General Motors and Segway. The two companies are teaming up to create the PUMA, or Personal Urban Mobility and Accessibility Project. The vehicle, shown above, will feature a 35 MPH top speed and will get a measly 35 mile charge on its lithium battery pack.... Continue reading
Rumor: Blackberry Storm 2 Due In September
Take this one with a grain of salt considering how away September is, but according to SlashGear, RIM is working on a new version of the Storm for Verizon. The touchscreen device will finally get WiFi in addition to fixes that will fix issues that plagued the original Storm. Obviously, Blackberry App World will be included but that’s about the extent of the details right now. I’m going to assume that RIM will take the opinions of first-time Storm consumers... Power Glove + Arduino
Anyone old enough to have owned an NES when it was the prime system knows how awesome the Power Glove could have been. Alas, it was just a controller bolted to a neat-looking glove. Now, 20 years later, Matt Mechtley has done the impossible and has officially made the Power Glove cool again. Using an Arduino, a Bluetooth module and an accelerometer, Matt can now manipulate all kinds of data using the Power Glove. Hell, I can only imagine the... Continue reading

Big in Japan. That’s what the press should be calling the Playstation 3. Seems for the month of March, Nintendo’s fantasy box of magic couldn’t fend off the brute, building strength of Sony’s Playstation 3.
