Mii Cupcakes

Delicious but not nutritious! If these cupcakes are anything like the Wii, you’ll love them when you first get them and after a few weeks, they’ll sit on your kitchen counter growing stale by the minute. Or should I say miinute? Ha! Get it? I’ll see you in hell. Link

Beat Blender Prototype

The Arduino continues to power innovation and creation well into 2009. This blender, created by Matti Niinimaki, is rigged to create beats. No smoothies here, folks, just pounding techno full of cheesy sound FX. The Beat Blender prototype reads fruit embedded with RFID tags that are dropped into it. Hitting different blending speeds (Puree, Liquify, Blend, Grind, etc.) will add different effects and filters to the music, allowing for a unique style of making new music. Matti’s setup makes use... Blow Me: Hoodies Made From Used Blow Up Dolls

I’m going to go out on a limb here and take a guess that designer Mama Anders loves to fuck. I mean, why else would she have dozens of blow up dolls with which to make clothing out of? It’s clearly the only logical reasoning here. Nevertheless, I’m sure you already want one of these hoodies. They look fashionable as hell from the front and the face that rests on the back of your head really completes the look. Too... Continue reading

AT&T To Offer No-Commitment iPhone

Have $600 or $700 lying around and demand an iPhone 3G? Fantastic news! AT&T will now gladly sell you an unsubsidized iPhone 3G that requires no contract and doesn’t even need an activation. That means those rich nerds out there who are jailbreaking the device can scoop up a few of these without having to hit the eBay circuit. I predict the program will be incredibly popular…after the recession. What do you think? Will you now get an iPhone now... Continue reading

Twitter Unveils Premium Accounts

EDIT: I also failed to notice that this is A COMPLETE HOAX. Twitter is gaining in popularity, that cannot be denied. I still just don’t understand why people like to lifecast this much though, but hey, who am I to judge? The Twitterati will today be pleased to find out they can now pay Twitter a good chunk of money for extra features. Four tiers of payment will be available: Sparrow, Dove, Owl and Eagle. Here’s what’s included with each... Continue reading

Microsoft Unleashes Internet Explorer 8

Like a bat out of hell, Microsoft this morning released Internet Explorer 8. As the follow up to the ultra-successful IE7, version 8 has a lot to live up to considering how commonplace Mozilla’s Firefox is becoming. New features include searching with images, web slices, new accelerated rendering engines and…well, yeah. That’s the gist of it. Walt Mossberg from the Wall Street Journal says it’s much better than previous versions and is a worthy competitor to Firefox. Sounds good. If... Continue reading

Super Mario Bros. Matryoshka Dolls Remind Us of the Motherland

Ahh, matryoshka dolls. What man hasn’t dreamed of ripping a woman in half only to find another woman inside and so on and so forth? I know I have! These matryoshkas just happen to be Super Mario Bros.-flavored. Custom designed by Flickr user cmsturmhous, these dolls would look awesome in any gaming room if you could somehow convince the maker to sell them to you. More pic love after the jump.

Gadget Junkies Will Feel Comfortable In This T-Shirt

While you’re sure to get some strange looks from both sneering fashionistas and mildly frightened parents, you can’t help but enjoy the honesty of this t-shirt. You might not get a confidence boost from acknowledging the fact that you have more toys than a 12-year-old Japanese school girl, but anything else would simply be a lie. If us geeksĀ are known for anything, it’s our complete and utter honesty when it comes to our geekery. Link [via]

Extreme Sheepherding: Now With More LEDs and Less Anal!

I don’t trust sheepherders. While I’m sure that many of them live an honorable and hardworking existence, I can’t help but shake the idea that most herding-peoples have some sort of animal-sex fetish. I know, it’s a problem. I’ll be seeking therapy soon. I blame the media. Now, extreme sheepherding on the other hand is a lamb of a different color. These sheep are decked out in custom designed LED suits which allow for awesome midnight herding. If you ever... Continue reading
