MD5 Algorithm Hacked By Playstation 3 Cluster
No joke. The MD5 algorithm, which is used widespread around the web for encryption, has been broken. A group of researchers used a cluster of PS3s to create a forged certificate authority, essentially enabling them to break into SSL-encrypted sites. HTTPS? Gone. There is no security. Sure, most of us don’t have 200 Playstation 3s sitting at home but if something is broken, you have to fix it. If you’re a programmer or coder of some sort, make sure implementing... Continue reading
What Would You Do?
It’s 2009. A time for new beginnings. Reflection. I need to know though: What Would You Do?
Morning, Let Me Get You Some Breakfast
It’s Monday, I know. Let’s just take a minute and sigh collectively. Alright. Feeling better? Good. You need some breakfast. After all, you can’t do any work or concentrate without a proper breakfast. This is a motherboard cake. It’s similar to that of a birthday cake in taste and more of a computer in the design department. It also has a gooey Intel inside. Do you like my jokes? It’s too early, isn’t it? Sorry. Have some cake, sunshine. Link
Left 4 Dead Papercraft Tank
I like killing zombies. I also enjoy Half-Life. On the other hand, seeing this papercraft Tank inspired by Valve‘s latest multiplayer zombie-fest, Left 4 Dead, makes me wish I was confronted by a real life Tank face-to-face so it can bash my skull in rather than me crafting a model of it out of paper. Look how shapeless and thin it is compared to the actual Tank in the game! Still, I’ll take what I can get. If you haven’t... Continue reading
Solar Donkey Kong Junior
This adorable solar toy is bound to entertain you for — an hour, tops. Still, it’s a neat little gizmo you purchase for 20 dollars and build yourself. It’s a solar powered monkey which climbs to its plastic heart’s content. When the monkey is placed in sunlight it’ll derive power from the sun enabling it to climb the rope, hand over hand! It’s also another cheap and easy way out of a science fair project with your kid. Link [via]

Hella Cool: DIY V12 Lamborghini Diablo
Look, I could sit here and tell you all about how this guy went and built a shed in his backyard. And then in said shed, he built a V12 Lamborghini replica from scratch. Yeah, I could tell you all about it, or you could read it for yourself at this Englishman‘s fine website, v12diablo.co.uk. He’s even posted instructions on building one. Fancy that. Better start saving, though. The base car he used for the project was a BMW 750iL,... Continue reading
Removable Kitchen Sink Promotes Water Conservation
Here’s an idea that really benefits you as a homeowner. A removable kitchen sink that can be taken outside and the water drained over your garden. Genius. And the nutrients the plants will get from food waste will benefit your crop for sure. The design comes from Hughie of Australia and believe it or not, it’s not a concept! You can net one of these bad boys for a measly $25 and it comes in an assortment of different colors.... Continue reading

Over 4 Minutes of Watchmen Footage Leaked
Watchmen Exclusive Pumped for the upcoming Watchmen flick that’s directed by Zack Snyder? You betcha. Despite the torrent of legal issues surrounding the film, FOX and Warner Bros., News Corp felt compelled to leak a behind-the-scenes video to MySpace the other day and the result is a video tour de force. Never before has a superhero/supervillian movie based on a comic looked so good before! The power of Dr. Manhattan! Can you even handle this kind of cinema? Let’s hope... Continue reading
