Matchstick Garden Makes Planting Easier Than Smoking
Smoking cigarettes can be terrible for your health. So if you’re going to pull a Steve McQueen and catch a cigarette outside on your lunch break, why not do a little good for the planet at the same time? Carry around one of these Matchstick Gardens with you and whenever you light up, stick one of the “matches” in the ground. Embedded with seeds, you’ll soon find a plant (perhaps a Pixel Posey?) or herb of some sort sprouting up... Continue reading
Are You This Lazy?
If you can’t even sit upright in a chair while on a computer without bitching about back problems, you might need the Lazy Geek’s Cushion. Why lie on a bed when this adjustable cushion can have you reading web comics on any filthy floor in the world. With this cushion, one could even use their laptop on the floor of a filthy gas station lavatory to become a real Twitter shitter. It’s lightweight (if your back can handle it, you... No One Does BWL Runs Even If You’re Standing
No one wants to stand during a raid. Yet, these German fellows who turned the Wii Balance Board into an interactive control mechanic for World Of Warcraft do want to stand as they play. They’ve done a similar project with Google Maps but this software mod sets the all time precedent of uselessness. Relaying data to a laptop via Bluetooth, the pressure of your stance on the board is converted into directional instructions for the game. Much like other games... Continue reading

Head on over to SpreadFirefox.com and pledge to to download FF3 when it’s released. Speaking of which, it’s June 17th and I have yet to see the official release of Firefox 3... Continue reading
China Develops Prototype Flying Saucer
The AFP is reporting that a Chinese company has built a real flying saucer. Right out of Mars Attacks!, the UFO looks like an egg but is so much more. It can be driven remotely without the need for a pilot or anyone on board and can go about 50 MPH. To boot, it can hover an an altitude of 1000 meters, which is pretty high. Sounds Hollywood-ish but I’m not about to start screwing around with aliens. Developed by... Continue reading

A Floating City You’ll Never See
You won’t ever live to see this floating ecopolis. This concept, designed by Vincent Callebaut, is straight out a science-fiction film with its ability to float. Dubbed “Lilypad,” this amphibious city can hold around 50,000 people and protect them from floods and bizarre plate tectonics. The city is designed to draw power from solar, wind and tidal means, which enables it to live in the depths of the ocean like that alien-race in The Abyss. Concepts like these will hopefully... SpeaQualizer Keeps The Party Going
Have you ever wanted a tabletop equalizer? No? Oh. Well this isn’t an equalizer, this is the SPEAQUALIZER! Yes! It’s true! For $40, this little baby will make colored lights hop and dance to all your tunes. The built-in mic helps it detect sound, so make sure the party is pumpin’ before you leave it on the coffee table for the night. Runs on four AAA batteries so it ends up costing way more than forty bucks. Maybe if you... Continue reading
60GB Xbox 360 Pro Rumored
The long-awaited upgrade from a 20GB to 60GB hard drive for the Xbox 360 Pro could be announced at the company’s E3 keynote next month says TrustedReviews. A source says there’s a release scheduled for August before the 10th. If you’ve got a 20GB hard drive on your 360 and your kicking yourself for not holding out for the 60GB, no worries. You can always buy a separate 120GB drive, though dealing with the transfer can be a bitch. Sources... Continue reading
The Tree Bed
For those of you who truly feel in touch with nature and happen to be extremely wealthy, you may want to shell out the $15,000 for this Tree Bed. Designed by Shawn Lovell and constructed from heavy metal, you’ll really feel as if you’re really falling asleep inside a creepy-as-fuck forest. No joke. All you need now is a floor full of dead leaves and centipedes. On the bright side, at least it doesn’t stink. Link (via)
